Abstract
The publication examines the theoretical aspects and practical problems of social capital management at the corporate level. The concept of social capital, its differences from other aspects of the management of intangible capital of modern organizations is presented. The reasons for insufficient attention to social capital management in the practice of corporate management have been clarified. Based on the results of the analysis of social reporting of 18 largest companies–leaders in key sectors of the economy, it is shown that key corporate entities acting as drivers of the socio–economic development of the Russian Federation are not involved in the practice of social capital management. The directions of social capital management are substantiated, the place in the ESG system is determined, and the directions for assessing social capital are proposed. It is concluded that, despite insufficient practical development, social capital management is intended to become a promising and significant area of corporate management in the ESG direction.
