Устойчивое и эффективное функционирование городского пассажирского транспорта, с одной стороны, является одним из важнейших элементов социально-экономической инфраструктуры, а с другой - одним из условий улучшения качества жизни населения. Автором рассматриваются тенденции развития пассажирского транспорта регионов. Также выделены основные проблемы функционирования пассажирского рынка и направления его развития.

Sustainable and efficient functioning of urban passenger transport, on the one hand, is one of the most important elements of socio-economic infrastructure, and on the other - one of the conditions for improving the quality of life of the population. The author considers the trends in the development of passenger transport in the regions. The main problems of functioning of the passenger market and directions of its development are also highlighted.
